Warnings

Device thieves

Be careful with your smart phone, laptop, desktop
computer, mining usb, mining hardware etc.. that you use
to mine cryptocurrencies as there are people who steal
these items to get hold of your mined cryptocurrency
which they send to their wallets.

Spoilers

As with any good thing that exists, there is bound to be
spoilers and you are bound to find, be part, and get used
knowingly and unknowingly by such spoilers who have
positioned themselves at every corner just to benefit
from the cryptocurrency boom at the expense of others.

Cloud/Shared Mining Scams

Be Aware, not all cloud mining operators out there are
genuine. Almost 90% of the existing operators will give
you less of their plans, some simply varnish with your
mined cryptocurrency just before your payout is due etc..
Some of the cloud mining operators run schemes that do
not deliver when the time to deliver comes. Most of
these companies can act legit by sending initial payments
to its customers to gain more clients until a time when
there is a huge payout to customers pending and then
that is when they disappear for good with your money.

Safe Cloud Mining Companies

So far I can only recommend Genesis Mining which is a
Hong Kong based company with founders from Germany.
I am using other cloud mining companies on a test drive
and soon I will inform you of others that can be trusted,
however recommending Genesis doesn't mean they are
100% safe but so far they do their best to prove so.

Hackers

Hackers are everywhere in this digital era, be careful
because they can hack your computer, cryptocurrency
accounts etc.. just to fish out your Bitcoins etc..

Account Invasion

As briefly discussed in Hackers, make sure you secure all
cryptocurrency accounts at the highest level to stop or
minimize any loss of your cryptocurrencies.

Viruses & Malware

The viruses around come in different forms with some
viruses finding a way into your computers and then use
the computer processing power to mine cyptocurrencies
for the benefit of the virus owner. Some of the viruses are
like hackers as they look for cryptocurencies in your
computer or smart phone and once they find anything the
virus will send the Bitcoin etc.. to the virus sender wallet.
It is recommended that you always have an up to date
antivirus and also always run a malware detector on your
computer on a regular basis to identify any of the viruses
and malware programs to be cleaned out. .

Card thieves

The cryptocurrency industry is growing with many services
now possible such as ATM's, swipe machines etc.. that
accept and cash out cryptocurrencies by using your
cryptocurrency card etc... You need to be very careful as
the same tricks used in the normal cash world apply with
those thieves cloning and stealing cards to steal any of
your cryptocurrency loaded in your wallets.
